Evaluation Part 1

Part 1
The brief we were working to was: Produce the titles and opening of a new (thriller/horror) fiction film, to last a maximum of two minutes. All video and audio material must be original, produced by the candidate with the expectation of music or audio effects from a copyright-free source.

The title of our thriller is ‘Lonely’. We decided on this to be our titles because both main characters show the emotion throughout the film vividly. However our main character Carla only shows her self to be lonely at the end when the audience finds out the twist. This is unlike James who shows he’s loneliness throughout by being a stalker.
What happens in our opening sequence we see Carla going meet her new boyfriends whilst her ex-boyfriend James stalks her the whole time until she meets her new boyfriend. Within our opening two minutes you establish that James is stalking Carla because of the collection of pictures he has in a room.
The subgenre of our thriller is stalker. This means that in the film there will be a person that has a obsession with someone or something and shows there possessives character throughout the film. The sub genre is clear in the opening because of James following Carla and all the pictures he has of her.
